BUS 299 Business Statistics


3 credits

This course focuses on the application of data analysis and statistical methods related to business and economics. Topics include descriptive statistics, elementary probability theory, random variables, sampling techniques, estimation, hypothesis testing, and simple regression and correlation. Statistical software is used to assist in data manipulation, analysis, and interpretation. Previously offered as BUS 300: Quantitative Methods I. BUS 299 replaces the BUS 300 requirement for students enrolled prior to Fall 2024 who are completing that requirement in Fall 2024 or later. Students who have previously completed BUS 300 should not take BUS 299.
