MI 200 Patient Care 2 credits
This course will provide the student with an overview of the radiologic technologist’s role in the healthcare delivery system. The professional responsibilities of the radiologic technologist will be examined and discussed. Communication skills and professional conduct in the clinical setting will also be introduced. Basic concepts of patient care, physical and psychological needs of the patient, and routine and emergency patient care will be described. Human diversity in health care and its impact in the treatment of patients will be discussed.
