SOC 221 Race, Ethnicity, and Culture 3 credits
This course examines the social construction of race and ethnicity, exploring how systems of power, privilege, and inequality shape diverse cultural experiences. Students will analyze historical and contemporary issues of racial and ethnic relations through sociological theory, research, and case studies, gaining tools to critically understand diversity and social change in a global context.
