COM 376 On-campus Healthcare Marketing Communication Internship
3 credits
This course is supervised, hands-on health media experience on the Misericordia campus. Sites may include faculty and Departments in the Health Sciences, the Student Health Center, or student media outlets, which include Cougar Radio, MCN 87 Television, Service by Design, and The Highlander newspaper. Students apply knowledge obtained from previous courses in this experiential environment, have real-world media experiences, and create artifacts for the portfolios that prove students’ knowledge and skills to prospective employers after graduation.
Each credit requires 45 hours’ worth of work – a minimum of 135 hours of work, which is acceptable to the site supervisor.
Prerequisite(s): Junior standing in the program.
