DMS 350 Musculoskeletal Sonography
3 credits
This course introduces the participant to the role of ultrasound imaging in the assessment of the musculoskeletal system. The basics of ultrasound physics and image optimization will be provided to facilitate understanding of the sonographic techniques required to examine various musculoskeletal structures. Anatomy of selected musculoskeletal structures, sonographic appearances of both normal and abnormal structures, and sonographic techniques will be illustrated.
