ENT 201 Social Entrepreneurship 3 credits
This course provides and understanding of the principles and practices of social entrepreneurship, which is focused on developing innovative approaches to solve social issues in domestic and global settings. The course will define social entrepreneurship and distinguish it from traditional entrepreneurship. It will emphasize identifying social issues and opportunities, developing a sustainable business model and strategic plan for a social venture, and sources of funding social ventures. This course will also cover key topics such as measuring social impact, scaling a social venture, and ethical considerations in social entrepreneurship.
Prerequisite(s): ENT 200 and SOC 101
