DNP 705 Epidemiology and Population Health for Diversified Communities


3 credits

 

  This course will offer the DNP student an expanded look at epidemiology, as it serves as the foundation for population health.  Focus will be on the distribution and determinants of health and disease in diverse populations and the application of epidemiological principles to improve population outcomes.  Current public health problems will be assessed at the local, national, and global level, specifically considering social determinants of health to improve population outcomes. Additionally,  unanticipated population crisis and disaster scenarios will be explored.
