NSG 632 Synthesis of Nursing Theory and Evidence–Based Practice Utilization in Advanced Practice Nursing 3 credits
In this synthesis course, students will apply and synthesize their knowledge of nursing theory and evidence-based practice by completing a capstone evidence-based project. Students will continue development of the evidence-based project started in NSG 616. Using a small group seminar approach, students will be guided through the proposal process and create a MSN Capstone presentation that includes a problem statement, theoretical foundation, literature review, proposal of a solution, an implementation plan, a process of evaluation, and dissemination of findings. By the end of the course, the nurse practitioner student will have the knowledge and skills required to improve patient outcomes through the application of evidence-based practice.
