NSG 631 Nursing Theory and Evidence-Based Practice Utilization for the APRN
3 credits
This course allows the student to explore various interdisciplinary and middle-range nursing theories and their application to advanced practice nursing. Emphasis will be placed on integrating nursing theory within evidence-based research to enhance clinical decision-making ability and improve patient outcomes. Students will learn to critically appraise various types of research studies for their relevance and appropriateness to clinical practice. Additionally, students will begin to formulate the clinical question or area of quality improvement with supporting research that will form the foundation for either their MSN Capstone or DNP Project.
