NSG 634 NP Certification Review Course
1 credit
This course provides students with the skills and practice needed to apply their knowledge learned across their advanced practice specialty nursing curriculum. Students will participate in board certification practice exams and remediation activities to prepare them to take their specialty APRN board exam after graduation. A comprehensive clinical update and review of concepts required for board certification as an entry-level APRN are emphasized. Topics include pathophysiology, pharmacology, physical assessment, acute and chronic management of conditions in the population specialty, and the professional role of the APRN is reviewed. Board certification exam registration, professional licensing considerations, and test-taking skills are also discussed.
