NSG 682 Acute Management of Complex Health Conditions in Adults and Older Adults I 3 credits
In this course, the student will develop advanced skills in performing rapid, complex assessments, diagnosing critical conditions, and initiating timely interventions for acutely ill adults and older adults. The student will be prepared to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care in fast-paced acute care environments. Using a body systems approach, students will enhance their critical thinking and decision-making abilities, while emphasizing collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Additionally, the student will focus on applying relevant pharmacology to effectively manage acute conditions, addressing ethical and legal considerations, and providing patient and family education.
