NSG 687 Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Colloque 3 credits
This colloque focuses on enhancing hands-on skills essential for the acute care setting. In this course, the student will gain practical experience with critical procedures such as advanced assessment techniques, bedside ultrasound, central line placement, and intubation. Emphasis will be placed on developing proficiency in vital skills to ensure effective, timely interventions for acutely ill patients. The student will also engage in simulation-based learning, reinforcing real-world application of advanced practice critical concepts. This colloquium prepares the acute care nurse practitioner to confidently perform complex procedures and deliver high-quality care in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
