BIO 113 Genetics, Evolution and Ecology 4 credits
The course examines the basic principles of biological evolution, genetics, and ecology. This course introduces students to the concept of biological evolution as the central organizing principle of the biological sciences. The course focuses on understanding and application of scientific methodology to gain an understanding of the basic principles that describe how and why living things change over time. A basic understanding of the principles of genetics, ecology and evolution is invaluable to anyone contemplating a career in any of the life sciences. Previously offered as BIO 111: Evolution, Genetics and Ecology.
