NSG 541 Advanced Physical Assessment and Diagnostic Reasoning for the APRN 3 credits
This course prepares students to perform a comprehensive physical examination of individuals across the lifespan and engage in the process of diagnostic reasoning. Emphasizing a systematic and evidence-based approach, hypothesis formulation and differential diagnosis of disorders commonly seen in a variety of healthcare settings is examined. Students will also learn to interpret diagnostic and laboratory findings and use effective communication skills to develop clinical hypotheses in diverse patient populations.
