NSG 628 Pediatrics Primary Care Clinical 2 credits
Students will apply advanced physical assessment and diagnostic reasoning knowledge of children and adolescents to the care of pediatric patients in primary care. The comprehensive and integrated care of pediatric patients is covered, considering their health promotion needs, growth and development, family and cultural dynamics, and physical and psychosocial status. Direct care and teaching-coaching strategies to integrate the management of acute/episodic and chronic health problems of children and adolescents in primary care settings are emphasized.
