ENG 356 Victorian Literature


3 credits

This course is an in-depth study of British literature from 1832-1901; emphasis is placed on aesthetic developments, thematic concerns of race, class, and gender, and the historical and cultural contexts of the Industrial Revolution, the Reform Acts, the expanding Empire, and evolution.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of English core requirements.
