WRT 304 Writing in Healthcare Settings


3 credits

An introduction to the theory and practice of writing for healthcare settings. Students will apply classical rhetorical concepts (e.g., situation, audience, ethos, pathos, logos) as well as standard professional writing techniques (e.g., document design, planning, circulation, style) in a series of individual and group projects pertaining to the healthcare fields. Previously offered as ENG 338. Students who previously completed ENG 338 may only take WRT 304 for the purposes of grade replacement, and may not receive credit for both ENG 338 and WRT 304.

Prerequisite(s): University Writing Seminar and English Literature core requirements
